In a time of fake news and alternative facts, our perceptions of what is true and what is real are being questioned

Created as a cynical response to this fluid reality, the project extended the tools of manipulation to the past and invited the visitor of the exhibition to change the message of historical demonstrations by changing the text on the signs to their own and as a result “change the past”.

by using a dedicated app, the visitors could edit the text on the signs in the framed pictures and see the messages change in real time. the use of special connected e-paper screens, that look 100% like printed paper, were used to enhance the feeling of magically editing history
